Just to let you know, Micah and I had a wonderful talk and we put it all out on the table. He knows exactly what I want out of life, and that he shouldn't "hold me back" (so to speak). I told him I never really wanted a divorce (who does?!) and that I love him a lot, I just want to be treated like an adult... I realize that I have a problem with authority, I really don't like people telling me what I can and can't do, but a husband shouldn't be your authority figure. But we basically put everything out on the table and just let it all out. We cried, we hugged, we kissed, we went a little further, lol but all in all we made up and he realizes that this is he last chance, too. So, we have decided to stay together, like stay married! Micah has realized that I can still be the person I want to be and that doesn't affect our marriage, he just needs to change how he looks at things. He needs to realize that whatever I do, I will be smart about it. So... we are really gonna make this work, we know what each other need/ want, so that's the newest news I have.

Well... I just got some bad news in my email... and it's one of those, "I understand but I'm really let down kinda bad news"...Ashley tired calling me last night... and I was thinking she was going to tell me the time when to meet her at her house, cuz the last time we talked, she didn't know a time, so I figured that's what it was. But when I called her back, Jessie said that she had already gone to bed... so when I checked my messages at lunch time, she said that my bachelorette party has to be cancelled cuz Matt has a wedding to attend, Kym's grandparents are coming in this weekend, and Brandy has something to do, but didn't say what... and it's like... man this really sucks ya know... I wasn't asking for an entire day with them, just a little get together, have a few drinks and possibly dinner... I feel really hurt because I was really looking forward to this and then people have to cancel at the last minute... I hope we can reschedule the party cuz Im only getting married one time, only going to have one bachelorette party... I just hope everything works out.

[29 Aug 2005|07:33pm]
Overdue... AGAIN... for an update...

My life is going pretty well. 3 months til the wedding, and everything seems to be going as planned. I can't wait until Grammie gets home, so we can get some more things in order for the wedding.

Things are looking up for Micah and I in the job department. Last Monday, we went to apply at ClientLogic in Lake City (formally known as Service Zone.) Today, Micah and I both went to learn about the company and take a few tests. Micah and I both did extremely well, she told us, and I have an interview tomorrow at 3:30, and he has one Wed. morning at 6:30am!! That's the only time he could go, becuase you know his boss at Sears won't let him go! But I think it'll be cool. They seem like an upbeat group and really fun to work with.

So, if Micah and I both get hired with them, we will most likely want to rent in Lake City, or somewhere in between there and Live Oak. We called pretty much every single rental complex in Lake City, and there was either no vacancy or we didnt qualify. At Windsong Apartments, everyone in the apartment can not make more than like $20,000... so that was out. And we really liked the looks of that place. So we got some newspapers and buyer's guides, hoping we could find something in our price range for rentals... of course we didn't. So we will just have to keep looking.

Other than not really having a place to call home, is all that we are worried about. We are pretty confident about getting a job at client logic, we just hoped that if we were both working there, that we could live there, too... ya know...Right now living at Dad's isn't really home for me. Not when we've lived on our own and them coming back into Dad's house, it just isn't cutting it... at all. I can tell Micah isn't happy at all. In all reality, we shouldn't have left where we were...but hey... you live and you learn.

Well, thanks for readin' and I'll talk to yall later!

[23 Aug 2005|10:18pm]
Well, It's time again for another REAL update...

Yesterday, I worked 7am-11am, then went home and picked Micah up. We went to Lake City to look at some more homes... manufactured homes.... THEY ARE SOOOOOOO NICE. This is the type of home we would like to end up in no later than November 26, if at all possible. I do NOT want to be living in Dad's house and married....I think that would make me feel tooooo weird. We went to Royal Homes in Lake City. We went there because a lady that I work with, her husband is the financial manager there and she told him to give us a good deal. LOL... We didnt get that far... discussing finances... Micah and I both now that right now we have to work on our credit score, cuz right now, its not where it should be, but at the end of September we will have 2 credit cards paid off (both in my name)that were a little delinquent, due to late fees and Micah's credit, is just getting started. He doesnt have bad credit... he just doesnt have enough established yet, but I think by Oct. 1 we will be in business. We pretty much know what we want we just are waiting on two things. 1. Credit 2. Where are we going to put the home. So hopefully within the next month we should get things rolling.

Yesterday we also went by ClientLogic (Formally known as Service Zone) and Micah and I both applied and today they gave us both a call. I am going in Monday to go to their 3 hour course or whatever and Micah can't get ahold of the person that called him. I played phone tag with mine for most of the day, but finally got ahold of her and worked out a time to come in. She was very nice! I can't wait to meet her. She also told me that they have recently began working with Virgin Mobile as their customer service call in place. She told me that basically people will call in and want to activate their phones, or tell them that they are working and you direct their call to the proper place.... I was like, I can do that! So Im kinda excited but at the same time I do NOT want to get my hopes up at all. I really like working at Dacier, it has it's perks and at time I could just quit on a moment's notice. I really like working for mom, letting her know when I need off or what days Micah is off, so we can have the same days off and what not. It's really easy at times to have you mother as your boss, but on the flip side of that... I have to constantly strive to work hard, bc the second I start slacking off or rest or whatever...people say "Oh, she can get away with it, she's the boss's daughter" and that to me is soooooooo annoying. And another thing why I like working there is that nothing hardly ever changes, no big surprises, and I prefer it that way. I wake up knowing exactly what I will be doing until 3pm. Some things I dont like about working at Dacier is that I get sooo attached to those residents and I cry my eyes out when someone, who I had gotten close to, Dies.... it's just getting emotionally draining, with that and having to also be a step ahead of all my co-workers because I am the boss's daughter, and I have talked to mom on many occasions about the drama there. I really need a career change and I think that getting out of Dacier will be good for me. At the same time, I am really going to miss that place. I have spent a good chunk of my time there. But really, I appreciate the elderly a lot more, when you have to actually deal with them. Yes, sometimes their impatience wears you out, or you just get tired of hearing that daggum call light going off, and I will miss all that, but I need to get outta there.

Well, I need to get to bed, it's almost 11 and I have to get up at 5:30am.

Later

Wow... My last update was almost 2 months ago,

Not too much has happened... but will update on the major issues...

Micah and I moved into Dad's house... "to save money" but in all reality, we actually had more to spend, so it's not really working out like we had planned... Living with Dad isn't bad, it's just that 1. we have to sleep in separate rooms, and that is getting on my nerves, and Micah doesn't want to loose Dad's respect so we doesn't let me sneak it and sleep with him. 2. Micah and I need our own space... it's hard sharing a space with someone, especially my dad, he's lived by himself for almost 15 years... (Josh came once in awhile, but was away more times that not) So dad is so used to living on his own, not sharing things. When at the same time, we know how it is, but we prefer living on our own... 3. We thought we could make it untilt he wedding, making our marriage more meaningful, cuz we wouldn't be able to sleep in the same bed until then, but with a little over 3 months left, we don't think we can hold out and we need our own space. Living with Dad is ok... but living alone (with Micah, of course)in our own place, living how we want, is what we need. So we will begin looking for a place to call home until we can actually purchase a place.

I really don't like Micah working at Sears, yeah he has great job security, but his boss uses him like crazy. And that job security is ify (sp?) b/c if Micah's boss finds out that he is even looking for a job, his boss will flip out and probably say he's never heard of Micah before, just so Micah will have to stay at Sears, and Jay (his boss) can continue to not lift a finger for anything. Jay comes in whenever he feels like it, around noon, then will leave at like 3 to go and play golf, it makes Micah so mad, but of course he can't say anything cuz Jay will say, "Well, I'm the boss!". Pisses me off so bad! Oh and last Friday around 5pm (they close at 6) they (him and his fiance, who also works there) started walking out the back door, and Micah was like, "Where are y'all going?" They're like "we're leaving." ANd Micah asked them if they were gonna let him know, he Jay was like "No." So they left Micah to put all the lawn mowers, pushmowers, grills, and everything else that was left for Micah to do. So I came in and helped him do all that, so he could actually get out at a decent time. They are just so lazy and do whatever they want, at other people's expense. I just can't wait until Micah leaves that place and all that work for them, so that they will realize how hark Micah worked his butt off for them. I was working there, but I couldn't stay because I hated Jay and his Hitler anticts. Also, ever since Micah began working there January of 2004, he hadn't had one single raise. He works 6 days a week and 5 of those days he comes home drenched in sweat, cuz he has to works sooooo hard. He's the only delivery person and they schedule like 10 million deliveries in one day, it's crazy!! Micah has been applying at different places hoping and praying that they will take him, so he can get out of that hell hole!! He's miserable and I can tell.

Well, that's my rants and raves for now.

Hey [16 Jun 2005|09:37pm]
[ mood | sleepy ]
[ music | "I am Beautiful" Christina Aguilera ]

Well....
I worked all last night and then I drove home, not to go to sleep... I had to wait around til 9am, then drive to Lake City for a follow up on my precedure I had a few weeks ago. I found out what was causing all the pain, it was all so clear to me, they gave me a prescription for it, and that was that. Then dad called and asked if I wanted to go eat lunch with him, I shoulda said no, and went home to go to sleep. But I didnt, I hadnt seen him in awhile, and while Josh is in Maine, no one's been at his house... so I went. Matt called me on the way back from Lake City and I talked to him for like 30 minutes then I crashed. I woke up about 8:45 or something like that. Micah had cooked supper, so I went out to eat. I am so tired.... Im glad this is my last 11-7. Praise the Lord! Anyways... Mom and Allan will be coming home on Sat. Micah and I are going to pick up them up at 10:20... I am driving Allan's car and Micah is driving my KIA. Mom, Allan, and Josh will take Allan's car and go home... while Micah and I go to the KIA dealership to see what's going on with my AC... it fine except there's a clicking noise, like something is loose, so we're gonna check that out, plus its still under warrenty, so we shouldnt have to pay anything. After that if it doesnt take too long, we will head to the beach. Micah and I have never been to the beach together. Then we are meeting one of Micah's friends from JOb Core in New Jersey, for supper. Well, working this 11-7 has definatly given me oodles and oodles of time, so... I remade my honeymoon registry, I think it'll do better like I did it, and it'll explain more of what it is, so people will be less hesitant about it. Here's the link, Enjoy:

Yall have a good night! :)

[08 Jun 2005|02:33pm]
Well, Im on the 11-7 shift at Dacier for the next couple of weeks.

My mom and the rest of my family are in Maine for my cousin's graduation and vacation, but they are bringing me home a ton of Maine Lobster, so Im not that upset!:)

Brandy's wedding has come and gone and it was beautiful. I really like my dress, the shoes were kinda comfortable, but hey, at least they all matched. The pictures came out great!

This is kinda old news, but I got my dress a few weeks back, I love it! It's beautiful, and I didn't have to spend an arm and a leg on it... actually I didn't spend anything on it... Dad paid for it! :D

Things are going wonderful with Micah and I, things got a little shaky, but most relationships do, but we are over that now, and I think we came out stronger than before. I love him sooooo much! I can't wait til our wedding!

Nathaniel is back in town and I am loving that! We spend a lot of time together, which is cool, cuz when he was in Orlando, we didn't see much of each other. But I got my best friend back and that's all that matters.

I made a wedding website, here's the link: http://weddings.theknot.com/pwp/view/co_main.aspx?coupleid=3217721235928852

Well, I think that I'm gonna get some more sleep before tonight. I have to work tonight, too. Which means I will probably be posting a lot more, since there hardly anything to do there at night.

Well, I guess it's been awhile... not a lot has happened...

1.) My car got side-swiped in the parking lot at work... I'm not mad about it tho, I went around and got some estimates and she wrote me out a check to go and get it done... so no worries there.

2.)Micah and I decided to stay where we are when the lease runs out. I like living there, it's in town and it's a good little place for the two of us.

3.)Working a lot lately... 11-7 shift all this week. Yearly evaluation is coming up and that means... A RAISE!! Not a huge one, but that's more an hour for me!! So that's good.

4.) Been working on the weekends with Micah at Sears (mostly Sundays). It's ok, I really like ringing people up and taking payments. I prefer to let Micah handle the customers cuz he knows what he is talking about and I am just starting out, ya know.

5.) Mom and I are helping a co-worker out (Gail Kicklighter) coach her daughter's 8 and under softball team this year. I went to the first practice last night. It's such a change going from high school level then going to the beginners. Kinda frustrates me to a point then I have to remember that they are just starting out. But it's fun teaching them how to throw, catch pop-flies, stand in the batter's box. It's a learning experience for all of us.

6. Micah and I both have switched cell phone companies, he has Nextel, and I have Alltel. If you need out numbers email me and I will give them ta ya.

Well, that's about all of an update I've got for now. Later

[01 Feb 2005|01:32pm]
OK, I know Im WAY over-due for an update, but I've been so busy lately... but IM not complaining!! :)

As of Dec. 5th I was moved up to full-time statis, (benefits, baby!) which is an answer to prayer cuz as of Jan. 1st I had to be off of Dad's health insurance since I was no longer in school. I work a lot and most time over 80 hours, cuz they take out a certain amount for health, dental, and life insurance, April 1st is when all that goes into effect, so I will be taking full advantage of that.

Wow, I was looking back to see when my last update was and it was Dec. 13th! Let me update you on Andy really quick. He is doing great and his attitude is better than it's ever been, since I've known him! He's like a whole new person. His leg is healing fine and as soon as it's to dr's standards or whatever, then he will be fitted for a prosthesis, which is getting antsy for. He's ready to walk again, and I don't blame him. He was so excited the other day, cuz he told me he got to do push-ups for the first time in a long time... with one arm. His right arm has some nerve damage in the shoulder area, so he's not able to voluntarily move it, but he is able to move his fingers so playing the XBOX isn't a problem he says. I'm just glad he is taking this all so well.

We had a wonderful Christmas... 4 Christmas' actually! LOL... On Christmas Eve we opened presents at Micah's mom's house, which was a new experience for me, but something I can definatly get used to. Then Christmas morning with Dad, as usual, Micah came, too. Then Micah, Josh, and I met Mom, Dad, Jenn, and Grammie at Andy's hospital room for Christmas Dinner and opened some presents. Then the next day we opened presents at mom's house. I didn't get a lot, but I didnt ask for a lot... and what I did ask for were things I needed around the house or whatever.

New Year's wasn't celebrated like how I normally celebrated. (I had to be at work the next day at 7am)I went to sleep around 9:30 or so and I told Micah to wake me up right before the ball dropped. He woke me up, I saw the ball drop, we kissed, and we went to bed. That was it. But the thing that made it more special than any other New Years was that I had someone that I loved to actually share the kiss with, which tops them all off.

January is kinda blah for me, but gets exciting towards the last week of the month. The only thing Micah, Josh, and I did early in the month was take Dad out to eat at the Roadhouse and bowling for his birthday. Which was fun. The last week in Jan., Mom took, Micah, Allan, Andy and I out to eat at Red Lobster, and Jenn and Josh came, too. Then the next night Dad and Josh met us at Sonny's to treat us for Micah and I's birthday. The only thing Micah and I asked for was money and that's what we got. We wanted spending money for our "weekend getaway"

This past weekend Micah and I went on a weekend getaway to Orlando. We left Friday night after Micah got off work. We arrived to the hotel and found it pretty easily. It was 1 1/2 miles from Disney, we could see Epcot, Tower of Terror, and part of the Castle sticking out of the tree tops from our hotel window. We stay at the Radisson Resort and it was nice! We got a bunch of pictures of just the hotel! LOL... it was nice. They had waterfall is their pools and jacuzzi's, they even had a water slide, which we didnt get to test out b/c we didnt have time to go swimming even. On Friday night after we got everything into the hotel room, we went down to the sports lounge so I could order my first drink... I did and I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea... and HE DIDN'T EVEN CARD ME!! I was a little disappointed... ok a lot! On Sat. we did get up til Noon, they we went over to Old Town, cuz Micah had never been there, then went over to Wonder Works, which I highly recommend! It's awesome in there! (It's the upside down building on International Drive). That night we went to Hard Rock Cafe, I love that place! Then we walked around a little bit and took pictures of Margaritaville and different things in City Walk. After that we headed back to the hotel and met Nathaniel there, we showed him around the hotel and went into the sports lounge. Micah and I ordered drinks again, and they finally asked to see my ID (it was someone different) and she was like "Congratulations!" I said "Thanks!" Ok, then I was happy then. We talked in the sports lounge until they closed around 1am... then went up to the room and talked somemore. It was good seeing Nathaniel. Sunday we drove around and pretty much did nothing. We stopped in Gainesville to go to Target and eat and came home. We unpacked and got into bed.

So basically, Im doing pretty good, devoting all my spare time to Micah pretty much, which is fine, I love him after-all... between the hours of 6:30 until we go to bed is really the only time I have with him, so I guess it's not all my spare time.

Tomorrow I am signing up for "Healthy Lifestyles" out here at the Village. They have teams and points are awarded or taken away. For every pound gained or lost or if you exercise or not. Basically I am "getting on the ball" for the wedding.

Well thta's good for now I guess... Sorry about filling up your friends oage with my looooong entry, but I was just making up for lost space. :) HEHE

[13 Dec 2004|05:39am]
Hi to all!

Andy had the other chest tube removed yesterday and the catheter today. He is taking pain meds orally every 4 hours (but can have another med for "breakthrough" pain). He has a very positive attitude, even when he is uncomfortable. He feels he is extremely fortunate to still be alive.

The doctors (plastic surgeons) came in today to check the left leg/stump. He will go back to the operating room tomorrow so they can clean off all of the old, dead skin and see what is underneath. Some of it is quite black. Hopefully, they can clean it up and only have to do some minor skin grafts or see that the skin under the old is OK. They are anxious to move him to a rehab center which is only two exits from where he is now (Vista Pavilion...next to SFCC).

He is eating OK, but did a little better today when his Aunt Kim brought him some of her home cooking...chicken and dumplings, peas and rice. Of course, they are threatening him with a can of Boost four times a day if he doesn't eat a little more.

All in all, Andy is doing pretty well. The bones will heal and hopefully the left leg, too. With his determination as good as it is...he is on his way to recovery. We do appreciate everyone's constant care and concern and most certainly the prayers.

And now for my little update with big news. Micah and I are engaged...again... well, we've known for awhile that we'd get married, but I have a new ring on my finger :) We have set a date, it will be Nov. 26, 2005. This is an informal way of telling you to save this date. It will be at the Village Church, so please make plans to attend, I would love you to be there! :) Formal Invitations will be sent a couple months before the actual date. I just thought I would let you know ahead of time.

~Lisa
